Australian vocalist, musician and producer Matilda Abraham has been a prominent voice and an exciting talent in the global musical landscape for over a decade. Having self-produced and released two solo EPs and one album to date, her talent and impressive vocal ability combined with her skill as a songwriter have seen her perform across Australia and internationally. She has sung at Sydney Opera House, performed her music at Berlin's famous Kantine Am Berghain, been nominated for the Freedman Jazz fellowship prize, and most
notably, was selected for the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) in 2016. This opportunity lead her to perform alongside Grammy-award winning artist Chilly Gonzales in his sold out show 'Gonzervatorium' in Montreal.

While her work output has always highlighted her vocal talent and creative compositional approach, Matilda presents a re-imagined persona with her new EP 'Our Own World'. Conceived with friend, fellow RBMA alumnus and veteran Lebanese Electronica musician/producer Etyen, the EP actualizes a musical friendship and connection that started when the pair met back in 2016. Matilda's lyrical prowess, compositional technique and heavily layered melodic arrangements find a sound world all of their own in Etyen's productions.

The result is a masterful mix of vocal pop and forward thinking Electronica that undulates between ethereal, organic and at times playful or epic soundscapes, skillfully infused with dreamy melodic and harmonic arrangements of otherworldly quality.

Our Own World releases on Lebanese label Tiny House Music on June 29th 2023.
