Franco-Lebanese singer-songwriter Miguele inaugurates her musical character, with her debut single “Soleil", a first glimpse into the artist and her forthcoming album, set to release in late 2023.

Armed with her unique lyricism and an acoustic guitar she’s had for far too long, Miguele has been writing and performing original songs in French about friendship, love and heartbreak since her early teenage days; enchanting audiences with her soft, singular vocal character, and intelligent yet playful texts, which even earned the artist a place as a music finalist in the international “Jeux de la Francophonie” back in 2010. But it’s a bit more than a decade later, that the thirty-three year old musician reignited her passion for songwriting, compelled by a need to create, after emotional and devastating years, dealing with the loss and trauma of watching her native country, Lebanon, collapse, and having to leave home and loved ones to start again elsewhere. But through it all, Miguele writes and sings with a lightness, playfulness and romanticism that inspires hope, with themes that relate far beyond the intricate details of her personal experiences.

Produced and co-composed with childhood friend and veteran Lebanese musician and producer Etyen, Miguele’s words and melodies find a universe of their own in a dreamy Pop-Electronic production, expertly weaving together the acoustic and the electronic, while preserving the raw essence of the artist’s songwriting and emotions.

With Soleil, Miguele sings to her home and to the people that make it so. She goes back and forth between love and pain, between past, present and future and reasserts, with more than a touch of melancholia, that despite it all, the sun will shine, and we will remember, recover and return.
